The sun was shining not a cloud in the sky and it was hot, hot, hot!!
The bride and groom read their nuptials in the library and then all the guests made their way on to the garden terrace for afternoon tea of:
-Cheese and cheese and chive scones served with selection of chutneys or pesto.
-Fruit and wholemeal scones with clotted cream and selection of jams
-Selection of sandwiches with crusts off to include,
-Smoked salmon cream cheese and dill
-Honey roast ham
-Egg mayonnaise with mustard cress
-Extra mature cheddar
-Selection of petis fours cream cakes
-Parmesan and cheddar cheese straws
All served with tea and coffee.
After everyone had enjoyed the food and the sunshine it was time for the speeches and cutting the cake. Then time for some more delicious food!
The evening buffet was set up in the rooms upstairs with tables full to the brim of the following:
-Homemade sausage rolls
-Selection of vol au vents with chicken,bacon, avocado, prawn mayonnaise, egg and watercres
-Roast pork carvery with crackling, apple sauce fresh baguettes and butter.
-Selection of local cheeses with celery, grapes and biscuits (no blue cheese)
-Selection of homemade crisps
-Strawberries and vanilla cream
