Some easy ideas for a perfect Christmas hamper:
Sloe gin (see the recipe from our post on 29th September)
Spices apple and tomato chutney (see the recipe from our post on 9th October)
Smokey bacon and chicken liver pate
Flovoured olive oil – our favorites are garlic and rosemary or chilli with black peppercorns.

227g chicken liver
227g smokey streaky bacon
1 onion diced
1 clove garlic
2 tablespoons of sherry or brandy
1/4 pint double cream
pinch of salt and pepper
Cook together in a heavy based pan the butter, chicken livers, onion, garlic, salt and pepper until the livers are cooked through.
Leave to cool.
Once cooled, add the sherry or brandy and the cream.
Liquidise until it is the consistency you prefer then spoon into sterilised jars and leave to set in the fridge.
It’s that simple and will really impress!
