At Tom’s Kitchen we aim to use only local and most importantly high quality suppliers, who we review on a monthly basis.
This is to ensure that the catering service we provide you, the customer, is of the highest possible quality. Below is a list of current suppliers we use, although to maintain the high standards we demand these suppliers are subject to change.
Cheese, Olives and Cured Meats
For cheeses, olives and cured meats we currently use, the Cambridge Cheese Company located in the Cambridge city centre. The Cambridge Cheese Company is a small independently run delicatessen founded in 1994. Boasting a list of around 130 farmhouse and artisan cheeses and the countries largest selection of top grade olives.
For butchers we currently use two award winning butchers; Robinsons in Histon and Burtons of Saffron Walden. Both being locally renowned in their surrounding areas and known throughout Cambridgeshire. Both are passionate about seasonality and locally reared livestock.
Vegetables and Salads
For vegetable and salad produce, we currently use a local farmer in Sutton who can supply seasonal organic produce in abundance. We at Tom’s Kitchen feel that most large catering suppliers cannot match his produce for quality and taste. For unseasonal produce or more exotic items we use a highly reputed company called Accent Fresh based in Downham Market, who after trying several different catering suppliers in the Cambridge area, were by far the best on quality and taste.
For all our dry goods i.e flours, oils, vinegars, truffles, chocolates, we currently use a company called Infusions who are based in Bury St Edmunds. They supply only premium, quality produce and stock the very best. Infusions are also the only UK supplier of elBulli produce, renowned as the world’s best restaurant.
