Another party for us! This time a 40th birthday celebrated with family. We were greeted at the door by Rose the family dog who was very intrigued as to why we were in her home!
Our chef for the evening Pete was helped by the youngest son throughout the day, ensuring that Pete cooked everything to perfection!
The family enjoyed a glass or two of champagne and then sat down to enjoy a 3 course meal with the choices of:
Starters:
Pan seared scallops with confit pork belly and Asian black beans.
Pan roast quail with pea salad, pancetta crisp and quails egg.
Main course:
Slow braised oxtail faggots and braised ribeye with celariac and potato gratin, confit carrots
Free range corn fed chicken breast roasted with thyme, sauted potato, wild garlic & smoked tomato dressing
Dessert:
Traditional crème brule with raspberries and shortbread.
After the dessert plates were cleared we brought in the birthday boys cake which was a Chelsea shirt! A great night had by all and a pleasure for us to cook for.
