Last Saturday we were invited to cook a farewell meal for Bisha, Rajen and 5 dinner guests. Rajen’s brother was the guest of honour for the evening as he will be emigrating within the next few weeks and jetting off to New Zealand.
The dinner party got off with a champagne reception followed by a three course meal of:
Starter: Vine tomato, red onion jam, buffalo mozzarella, basil and pesto dressing – served with fresh crusty bread.
Main course: Pan fried duck breast with soy marinade, sweet potato fondant, sesame pak choi and glazed carrots. Falafal pancake with sesame pak choi and glazed carrots
Dessert: Traditional creme brule with marinated raspberries and shortbread.
Photos taken and presents a plenty were given throughout the meal and once the all the guests were well and truly fed and watered the party continued long after we had left!
We wish Rajen’s brother all the best in his future adventures.
