What a gorgeous day to have a wedding!

The ceremony was held in The Granary Estate with the decoration giving a country cottage, afternoon tea in the garden feel with ivy decorated around the beams, wicker hearts on the walls and bunting. This theme carried on throughout the venue making a stunning setting.

After the ceremony the guests were greeted with a glass of prosecco and were invited to help themselves to an afternoon tea served on beautiful vintage crockery. The afternoon tea consisted of:

Sandwiches with crusts off and sliced into fingers – free range egg with mayonnaise and watercress, honey roast ham with red onion chutney, smoked salmon with cream cheese, dill and cucumber
Traditional fruit scones with clotted cream and jam
A selection of cakes which had been provided by guests
Tea, earl grey with lemon, apple juice

After a chance to chat and nibble the guests were seated in the main barn to enjoy a 2 course meal of:

Main course
Chicken, leek and sweet corn pie with gravy
Vegetarian mushroom and leek with a pastry lid
Bowls of creamy mash potato
Bowls of peas with mint butter
Dessert
Rustic looking meringues with bowls of fresh fruit and cream, .

After the meal the band swung into action and the evening guests arrived to join in the celebrations.

For the evening food the bride and groom requested homemade scotch eggs with mustard, ketchup and brown sauce. A first as a request for us but they went down a storm! There was also cheese and chutneys which was supplied by the bride.

A great day had by all. Congratulations Tompion and Meg!!
